Yesterday we gathered at Merrill Gardens with some good friends to watch the Huskies almost beat Baylor. It was a good time. Dad and Mom are getting ready to move into their new apartment at 620 5th ave w #304 Seattle, WA. They will be moving by the 1st of the year.

Merry Christmas!

This Christmas we decided to have a family slumber party in Bremerton. We all made our way to Angie and Jay's house on Christmas Eve and stayed through the morning after Christmas. We had a great time! Took a walk to the park with the dogs while the weather allowed, then hunkered down when the weather got crazy. Thought we might have a Christmas with the power out! The wind was so strong and the lights were flickering but the piano was played, we drank a little wine...and bushmills and we had a lot of good laughs and the power did not go out :) Very special Christmas this year!

Mike and Nancy are making the move next Thursday to a bigger apartment in the Parkwing building on Queen Anne. It is a beautiful apartment with amazing views of Elliot bay, the space needle and Mt. Rainier. Nancy has been crazy busy trying to get organized for that, but we think it will be a great thing for both of them when they are finally settled!

Welcome to Mike Messages! We created this blog to keep everyone updated on what is going on with our Dad.  As I'm sure all of you know by now,  he has a disease called Multiple System Atrophy.  It has been a tough thing to swallow for all of us.  Not fun to watch what it is doing to Dad, making his body betray him. There are lots of questions we still have but we wanted to try and keep everyone updated as best we could.  He is doing well and has been in good spirits for the most part. Mom has been doing an awesome job taking care of everything. Us kids spend as much time as we can with him and cherish every moment. Please check back in on this blog periodically for new entries and we will keep it updated as best we can.
